2003: '99 v '02
The class of 02’ entered the game hoping to avenge the route they endured the year before at the hands of the class of 99’. With a power running game and added bulk to their lineup, the class of 02’ marched down the field easily with the running of Adam Herschtal. Unfortunately Herschtal tore his ACL and would not return. The game also featured the return of Dan Fulop who missed the 2002 with a torn ACL. In the first half the teams traded scores and blocked extra points. Before halftime the class of 02’ went ahead by six as Nick connected with Georgio for their second scoring connection of the game. Following halftime the class of 99’ controlled the ball and clock behind power running from Doobie and Noah Zimmerman, and timely passes to Dan Fulop. Early in the second half the class of 02’ lost Ilan Fulop to an ankle injury, but managed to tie the game on the last play with a 1 yard touchdown run from Nick as time expired. Gabe Dymond missed the winning extra point, pushing the kick wide left. In overtime the teams scored on their first possessions before the class of 99’ held on defense and secured the victory.
